Caramelized Sweet Potatoes

Sweet Potatoes are not my favourites. I still remember the day I had my first tasting experience. It was when I was little and visiting the Philippines. My mother wanted to convince me that I should try these yummy potatoes (which are locally called “camote”) and after my first bite I had enough for the following years.  However, since I learned that Sweet Potatoes are part of the Thanksgiving deal, I couldn’t avoid it any longer and gave this whole “yummy potato” thing a second try. Luckily the following recipe that I found and have been using ever since erased all bad memories I had: http://www.marthastewart.com/316910/caramelized-sweet-potato-wedges

Still Sweet Potatoes are not my favourites, but I have to admit that the recipe is good. My friends love the Caramelized Sweet Potatoes and I already had to share this recipe many times! One side note: I use less brown sugar.

Today I also saw another recipe for a Sweet Potato Thanksgiving dish, which I will definitely give a try. It is a combination with apples and it seems to be really delicious.
