Cranberry Sauce

IMG_7869

As you can see from my previous posts, I’m currently having a flow. Well actually it’s not a flow. It is a motivation that drives me: Thanksgiving. Usually I do not post regularly and not each day after another, but I want to share my Thanksgiving recipes with all those of you who will still celebrate the festivity by the end of November.

And what would be a Thanksgiving dinner without the Cranberry Sauce? Probably just a dinner… because Turkey + Cranberry Sauce belong to each other (do you notice the imaginary heart around it?)!

So here is my recipe:

  • 400g cranberries
  • 150g sugar
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh orange juice
  • 200ml water
  • Alnatura spice mixture “Feurig Fruchtig” (which you can substitute by a trace of ground chili pepper and freshly grounded sea salt & pepper)

Bring to boil while stirring cranberries, sugar, orange zest and water, add spices and let it cook on a moderate heat for 10-15 minutes. Very easy! Left-overs can be used as a sandwich-spread.
