The trip to Paris would have been incomplete without a dinner at Firmin.
I discovered this small place on my trip to Paris around 7 years ago. Back then I had a perfect cooked Osso Bucco and the best Tarte au citron ever at Firmin. Even though you will meet tourists (like me) at this place, locals appreciate the food likewise. The owner Mr Firmin is always around and he and his staff are utmost friendly and hospitable. And the food is uber-delicious: Basics, e.g. beef tartar, enriched with coriander, dill and parsley served with a variation of tomatoes or classics such as pigeon with an excellent side dish of a sellery mille-feuille. And the best: the cook can top all this with unbelievable good desserts! (I ended up eating two desserts…just because it was that good)
Tip: You can enjoy the view of the sparkling Eiffel Tower (5 min after each hour after sunset) on the same street after you have left the restaurant.
Where? 20 rue de Monttessuy, Paris 7e http://www.firminlebarbier.fr/
