Yesterday I had a nice (4h long!) brunch at Arts ‘n’ Boards in the neighbourhood of Schwabing. Unbelievable that it has been my first time at this place (yeah…another new!!!), because I must say it is a very nice location to spend some time with your friends if you don’t want to be surrounded by the typical “Schickimicki” citizens of Munich. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the interior gives you the feeling of vacation: On the one hand surfboards are hanging from the wall/ceiling and pictures from surfers & waves are everywhere and on the other hand, there are also paintings on the walls/ the bar. The head behind this place is a surfer and a galerie owner and combines these passions in a nice Cafe/Restaurant/Galerie. Sunday brunch from 10 am to 4 pm costs 19.90€, which is a fair price – water and juices at the buffet are included. The buffet had cakes, cookies, pancakes, bread rolls, cheese, sausages, egg and bacon, salmon, salad, rice and potato dishes, fruits etc.. Enough for you to leave with a full and satisfied stomach.
The waiters are friendly and always picked up right on time our used dishes (which I find very important at buffets).
Bonus: When it gets warm (like today) you can sit outside either at the back or in the front.
